Iesha Pankey

Hello amazing people! My name is Iesha Pankey. As many of you know, my love for running, wellness, and getting active is tremendous. Since a serious ailment diagnosis in March 2012, I have pushed my mind and body to limits I would have never imagined in my wildest dreams. This challenged the “normal” that I thought I knew. I began a journey in finding what my “new normal” looked like. In Sept 2013, I ran my first 5K. I ran the 400M and 800M at a young age but stopped by the time I was about 14. This 5k was just the beginning of my running journey. Running is the best therapy and stress reliever, and it doesn’t cost me anything but time and energy. I have used running to help me think through big decisions and sustain me through a lot of life’s happenings. Over the past few years, running has connected me with some pretty amazing people, all while helping me cope with my new normal. With all that being said, I took a huge leap by committing to my first marathon. What?!?! Yes, Marathon! Not just any marathon…. THE LONDON MARATHON! A marathon is something I thought I would never do....Well, never say never! This race would be the perfect combination of all the things I love. I love running and the balance that it brings to my life. I have a heart after my community and the betterment of others. I am partnering with Back on My Feet organization. Back on My Feet proves that there is hope that individuals can achieve things they never thought possible, and that there are people who will support them along the way in the fight against homelessness. Lastly, this marathon feeds my hunger for traveling because it’s across the pond in London and it falls on my 34th birthday ( April 28, 2019). I believe all the stars aligned and pointed to this awesome opportunity. In this commitment, there is a physical, mental, spiritual, and financial commitment. I think I can cover the first three, but I need your help with the last. Please help me raise $7500 for Back on My Feet and my first marathon that happens to be one of the World MAJORS! I would like to raise the funds by April 28, 2019. If you so choose to, please help me reach the finish line.

I intend to capture this marathon journey and feel free to take this adventure with me as I move towards the finish line: blessed2smile.blogspot.com.

Thank you so much in advance.
