Thank you for visiting my Fundracing page! I will be taking on the Berlin Marathon on September 27, 2020. I'm thrilled to be racing for and with Back on My Feet (BoMF), an organization that combats homelessness through the power of running, community support and essential employment and housing resources.
As a Bay Area native and 6+ year resident in the city of San Francisco, this cause is very dear to me. San Francisco has been facing a dire homelessness problem for decades. As someone with a deep love for this city and for everyone who lives here, I feel it's our collective duty to help our homeless brothers and sisters in any way that we can. Over the past few years, I've volunteered with a variety of organizations – Next Door Shelter, Project Homeless Connect, Project Open Hand, Glide Memorial Church – to provide food and resources to folks living on the street. But, there is always more that can be done.
I first heard about BoMF through AtlasGO, the wonderful social impact startup many of you know I'm involved with. We have partnered with BoMF on several occasions, creating challenges for community members to have their runs/walks/hikes/swims go toward the local SF chapter of BoMF. Over the past year, I've participated in 3 open challenges benefitting BoMF, and have loved meeting some of the BoMF members and team during our various events and training runs.
In May 2018, I attended the BoMF SF Gala and was moved by the support of the community, the stories from BoMF alumnus themselves, and my own team at AtlasGO for the work we did in helping people get back on their feet. My involvement with BOMF continued in the spring when I ran SF's famed Bay To Breakers race on behalf of the organization.
I'm truly honored to be able to travel across the globe and continue supporting Back On My Feet through fundracing for the 2020 Berlin Marathon.
I would greatly appreciate your support in reaching my $3,500 goal. Thank you so very much.
In love and gratitude,
