Indy Marathon Relay 2020

Homelessness reaches all corners of our country and, now, the Back on My Feet Marathon Relay can, too!

Run a marathon… relay style! Join forces with friends near and far to form teams of 2-6 to collectively cover 26.2 miles. Team members may choose to run at the same time or coordinate hand-offs (live or virtually).

Whether you’re running in the same city or are scattered around the country, your participation will help Back on My Feet members move their lives forward. They need you on their team now more than ever.

How does this work?
Register as an individual, or join a team of 2, 3, 4, or 6 people!
 
  • Run solo and run 12 laps (or 26.2 miles) of the loop
  • Run with a friend on a team of two and run 6 laps (or 13.1 miles) each
  • Run with two friends on a team of three and run 4 laps (or 8.7 miles) each
  • Run with three friends on a team of four and run 3 laps (or 6.55 miles) each
  • Run with five friends on a team of six and run 2 laps (or 4.4 miles) each
     
What about t-shirts?!


T-shirts are included in the registration fees listed above. 
Have too many race shirts already and want to save $5? Select the 'No T-Shirt' option during the registration process. 

*Be sure to register by August 31st to guarantee your shirt!*

You can also spread the love and buy a member a t-shirt!


New options for 2020
  • Become a FundRacer and pay $1 for your entry by fundraising a minimum of $250 (yes, FundRacers will receive a t-shirt!)
  • Sponsor a member's registration for $40
  • Buy a t-shirt for a member for $5
 

Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. 


So You've Registered for the Relay. Now What?

STEP 1: Join us on social! Click "I'm in" on the Strava event page, RSVP to the Facebook event page, and be sure to follow @BackOnMyFeet on Instagram. Check out our participant toolkit for easy ways to spread the word.

STEP 2: Put your favorite Back on My Feet tee or lucky singlet on, get out (or stay in on the treadmill) and log your miles anytime between September 18th - September 20th. Be sure to pin on your race bib - click here for a print-friendly PDF (in addition to the one you'll receive at packet pick up)!



STEP 3: After your race, share your Strava post, selfie, a photo of your watch or any other memorable photo from your run on social media and tag @backonmyfeet and #BoMFRelay. We'll be liking and re-posting on Instagram and Facebook!
Cheer on other runners by liking or commenting! 

STEP 4: Be sure to submit your race results by September 20th. Instructions on how to submit your time coming soon!

We’ll be giving out prizes to our top 3 fundraisers, along with team prizes (keep scrolling for more information!)

to pick up your bib, shirt, CLIF bars and more! 

Not able to join us on 9/13? Swing by Runner's Forum through Sunday, September 20th and pick up your shirt during their business hours instead.

Top Fundraising Team = This award goes to the team that raises the most money (does not include corporate sponsorship dollars!).

Most Spirited Team = This award recognizes a team that shows camaraderie and excitement through being involved in the race and working with Back on My Feet. This team shows a real “Win Together” attitude – a core value at BoMF that accelerates team members in pursuit of our mission.

To qualify for team awards, you must be registered, have your race results submitted, and have any fundraising completed by September 20th. 

FUNDRAISING INCENTIVES

We're excited to announce that our Top 3 Fundraisers will receive a pair of HOKA ONE ONE shoes!

PLUS - The first 10 people to raise $500 will receive the ultimate HOKA VIP Experience! 
The VIP Experience includes a HOKA prize pack with a HOKA water bottle, beanie, and other HOKA gear.
Plus, each FundRacer will get to borrow and test out a pair of the NEW Clifton 7 for race week! 

Proceeds from the Indy Marathon Relay enable Back on My Feet to help combat homelessness. As a thank you for raising at least $500 by Tuesday, September 8th at noon, we'll alert our top FundRacers who will take home the HOKA VIP Experience! 
 
  • FundRacers will be notified via email on Sept. 8th to get their shoe size, and must respond by Sept. 10 at noon to guarantee their size will be available.
  • It's the responsibility of the top FundRacers to pick up the shoes in person.
  • Clifton 7 shoes will be available for pick up at Runner’s Forum Broad Ripple (902 E Westfield Blvd, Indianapolis, IN 46220) during Packet Pick Up on Sunday, Sept. 13th from 2-5pm.
  • FundRacers must return the shoes to Runner’s Forum by Monday, Sept. 21st but can keep the HOKA prize pack! 
  • Registration fees will count toward the $500 raised.

RESULTS

To record your Indy Marathon Relay results, we’ll be utilizing Run Signup this year. We’re asking Team Captains to submit times for all team members, and runners not on a team (aka solo runners) to submit their own times.
