We have two options for you:

1. Stay on the team!
Fundraise your minimum of $7,500+ by 11/30/2020 in order to defer your
Boston Marathon entry to 2021. Fundraising is due in 2020 but you
will NOT have to fundraise again for your entry!

2. Step away from the team
We know this is a hard decision, but we understand! Alleviate yourself of fundraising obligation,
and forfeit your entry to the Boston Marathon. Should you request a charity entry in future years
to the Boston Marathon, previous fundraising will not be counted to the new entry.

1:1 Match Deadline: 9/7/2020
2020 Virtual Boston Marathon #NoMatterWhat: 9/14/2020
Fundraising Minimum Deadline: 11/30/2020

As a charity runner for Back on My Feet, your fundraising is a critical commitment to our
program and to our ability to continue supporting our members and alumni as they face
already difficult challenges, only made more severe the health and economic impact of
COVID-19 and the ongoing effects of systemic racism in our country.

Last year, our charity FundRacing program raised approximately 20% of our entire
organizational budget
YOU are a huge part of our program and your impact is HUGE!

Back on My Feet members are disproportionately affected by the health and economic
impact of COVID-19 as well as the effects of longstanding, systemic racism in America.

Nearly 70% of Back on My Feet members identify as Black, Indigenous or Persons of Color,
with approximately 45% identifying as Black or African American. Back on My Feet knows that
health, poverty, social capital and race are deeply intertwined in American society.

The Back on My Feet program works to dismantle stereotypes that persist around race and
poverty
and to help remove the many barriers our members face on a path to social and economic
well-being. Our members - individuals experiencing homelessness – face outsized risks in the face of
COVID-19, as do our Alumni, many of whom have been laid off or furloughed.

But our members are pressing on – and we’re pressing on with them!

Your support now helps this vulnerable population keep a supportive
community and maintain a path to stability.

supporting Back on My Feet now. And, see here for Back on My Feet’s stance on the
Black Lives Matter movement and our commitment to do more.
