Make your high school cross country season special by running to help individuals experiencing homelessness in Atlanta. This is a pledge-per-mile event to build team camaraderie while serving the community around you. Started in 2012 by Marist School and St. Pius X Catholic High School, Back on My Feet aims to take this event across metro Atlanta and the state of Georgia to schools like yours!

Each participating team will be offered a tailgate party with snacks and refreshments after a race or practice on a mutually agreed upon date. The Back on My Feet staff will host the tailgate and take the opportunity to inform students, coaches and parents about the work of our organization. The winning team will receive tickets for the highest fundraisers' admittance to Back on My Feet's annual Bash event where they will be recognized for their dedication to sport and fundraising efforts.

Whether you're a high school student or an individual experiencing homelessness, the lessons learned from running are the same-- dedication, hard work, teamwork and confidence. What better way to use running to show teachers, parents, friends and college admissions advisers your dedication to improving the world around you?
